China Day- Year 4

Dancing with Mrs Gwyther

We had to get into a group of at least six. Two people played the music and the rest of us danced in a dragon way. I was with Georgia, Nicole, Chantelle and Samantha. We composed the music using 5 notes on chime bars. The notes were :- F,G, A, C and D. The 5 notes are known as a pentatonic scale, or Dragon scales. We made up dances, all of the groups were pretending to be dragons. Every other group were trying there best as well. Some of our groups, at the end of the session, got videoed by Mrs Robinson. Miss said we were one of the best groups. When it had finished, we were all ready to go to the next lesson.

Making food with Mrs Hart

Mrs Hart was making chicken curry and the first thing she put in was the chicken and we smelled some Chinese curry and she put it into the pan then added some coconut cream and stirred it all. Then she told Mrs Cook to stir it while she was going to making vegetable stir-fry. The first thing she put in was the peanut oil in the pan then she added some carrots then we could smell it. After that she added some sauce then stirred it. Then we got all excited because it was nearly time to have the food but last of all she put some noodles into the stir-fry. They let it cook for a bit THEN IT WAS DONE then all of us got even more excited and we got to eat the food. Once we ate the first bowl people were shouting I WANT MORE AND MORE.

Making hats with Mrs Robinson

We had a choice of felt tips, crayons or paints. I chose to colour mine in felt tip pens. Mrs Robinson handed out the sheets of card in the shape of a circle, with a slit in it .
We all had a hat each , it was fun . I really liked colouring my hat in . I coloured my
hat red around the sides and a picture of a dragon around the edge of my red sides.
