Tag Rugby Tournament 2008

Some year 6 children have been practising weekly with Mr Tait,to prepare for a tournament at John Leggot College. Lots of schools took part. Brumby had two teams A and B. Although they won most of their matches, they didn't get a trophy. It is such a shame because they put so much effort in to their games. Well done for representing Brumby!

Here are some action shots. Sorry to Josh for cutting his head off, but he was so close he nearly knocked me and the camera over!

Gillet Shield 2008

Katie was thrilled to receive the Gillet shield this year. Miss Dalton, Mrs Robinson, Mrs Hargraves and Mrs Sylvester were very proud to speak about how katie has worked so hard over the four years at Brumby Junior School. Katie has been a pleasure to teach and a very popular pupil. She was certainly a star during the Yr6 play "A Mid-Summer Night's Dream."

Here Katie accepts the shield from Mrs Gillet, who began the idea of the "Gillet Shield" in memorial of her son who sadly died whilst a pupil at Brumby Juniors.

Mercury wins the House Cup!

Here Mercury captains proudly accept the trophy for 2008. Mercury have earned the most house points three times this year.

Well done to all those in Mercury and watch out....the other houses will do their best to beat you next year!
