Our website decided to run a poetry competition. It was to be about an animal, perhaps about your pet.
We had lots of entries from Years 4 and 3!
Here are the winning entries:
Honey the Bunny!
There once was a bunny ,
Which was named Honey,
and she was quite funny.
She wore a silk cloak,
And danced for the folk,
On a cold winters evening.
Then the next day,
She ran away,
And slept in some golden hay!
She slept day and night ,
Without a single fright,
Even though she was sleeping at quite a fright.
Honey sweet Honey,
Found some money,
So she caught a train
Back to her mummy.

Dogs Dogs Dogs
There cute there fun but they
Can get annoying some times apart from talking them for walks,
Entering competition playing games
Feeding them teaching her
To sit, paw, lie down, and come here

Power of them legs to run that that

Drink really fast and eats really

Lambs
Lambs, lambs, lambs
There are sweet
Leaping high like they do.
When there hungry,
They love some lush,
Green grass to chew on.
Lambs, lambs, lambs,
Playing happily together all day long,
Getting worn out as the day draws on.
Lambs, lambs, lambs,
Cuddles up tight as day turns to night,
In their mums fleecy coat,
Dreaming of hay and grass
Lambs, lambs, lambs.

“Oh My Cats!”
Oh my cats, oh my cats,
They are so cute but stupid,
More are calm and sensitive
But that’s how they are.
I really love my cats,
But they can be annoying,
They purr and meow
But they belong to me.
Cats are small and furry,
And ever so cute,
Ill love them forever
And always be there.
Oh my cats, oh my cats,
I never thought I’d lose you,
But you’ll always be in my heart
And I’ll remember our times…
Together and forever.
